About the band

The Scratch is a Paris-based American Rock 'n' Roll and Soul music band that draws inspiration from the sounds of the 1960s, 70s and 80s. It consists of a singer (Panama Harris), a drummer/singer (Robby Sinclair), a bassist (Matt Brandau), and a guitarist (Quentin Seewer). Their diverse and festive repertoire (including songs from The Rolling Stones, Marvin Gaye, David Bowie, John Lennon, Fleetwood Mac) is specially crafted to get the audience dancing and create an electric atmosphere.

The Scratch est un groupe américain de musique rock'n'roll et soul basé à Paris qui puise son inspiration dans les sonorités des années 60 et 70. Composé d’une chanteuse (Panama Harris), d’un batteur/chanteur (Robby Sinclair), d’un bassiste (Matt Brandau) et d’un guitariste (Quentin Seewer). Leur répertoire varié et festif (The Rolling Stones, Marvin Gaye, David Bowie, John Lennon, Fleetwood Mac) est spécialement conçu pour faire danser le public et créer une atmosphère électrique.
Quentin Seewer

Quentin Seewer, professionally known as sleen, is a Swiss guitarist, sideman, composer, and arranger. After studying at the Conservatory of Neuchâtel, the Swiss Jazz School in Bern, and the Swing Romane Academy in Paris, he earned his diploma in Contemporary Music Interpretation in 2018.
He has also worked and performed with various international artists such as Benson Boone, Will Linley, Kayna Samet, Lize, Erik Truffaz, Lechiffrebeats, Petite Klem, ALISHA, Liouba, among others - both during his studies and beyond. He has to his credit 8 albums as well as numerous singles and collaborations, with over 13 million streams and having played over 500 concerts in France and Europe.

Quentin Seewer, connu professionnellement sous le nom de sleen. est un guitariste, sideman, compositeur et arrangeur suisse. Après avoir étudié au Conservatoire de Neuchâtel, à la Swiss Jazz School à Berne et à la Swing Romane Académie à Paris, il obtient le diplôme de Musicien Interprète des Musiques Actuelles en 2018.
En parallèle et en continuité de ses études, il travaille et se produit avec différents artistes internationaux tels que Benson Boone, Will Linley, Kayna Samet, Lize, Erik Truffaz, Lechiffrebeats, Petite Klem, ALISHA, Liouba entre autres. Il compte à son actif 8 albums, de nombreux singles et collaborations, plus de 13 millions de streams et plus de 500 concerts en France et en Europe.
Robby Sinclair
Drummer, Singer
Robby Sinclair is a producer, drummer, and vocalist based in Paris, France.
Born in the United States, Robby began creating music at a very young age. He went on to study jazz performance and arranging at Virginia Commonwealth University, earning awards for both. After graduating, he moved to New York City and was promptly selected to serve as a U.S. Jazz Ambassador through the Kennedy Center of the Performing Arts. While living in New York, he established himself as a first call drummer for many different styles - rock, pop, jazz, improvisation, cabaret, dance, and many others.
During this time, Robby also founded the group Lazer Cake which featured his vocals, songwriting, and drumming - his music was featured in NBC’s “Parenthood”. After 3 EP’s, Robby relocated to Los Angeles and was asked to be the drummer for Chet Faker/Nick Murphy’s touring band. This found him performing at some of the most world famous festivals and stages including the Sydney Opera House, Red Rocks Amphitheater, and Sziget Festival.
He has worked as both a composer and a session drummer for artists such as Nick Murphy (Chet Faker), Chris Baio (Vampire Weekend), Linda Perry, Steve Lukather, Natasha Bedingfield, Jon Natchez (The War on Drugs), Alina Baraz, Montaigne, Matt Sucich, Jack Milas, Andrew Keoghan, Chris Speed, Jess Cornelius, Miya Folick, and Ex-Poets. Robby has extensive experience performing around the world and continues to produce music for albums, TV, films, video games, and sound installations.

Robby Sinclair est un producteur, batteur et chanteur basé à Paris.
Né aux États-Unis, Robby a commencé à créer de la musique dès son plus jeune âge. Il a ensuite étudié la performance et l'arrangement jazz à l'Université Virginia Commonwealth, remportant des récompenses dans les deux domaines. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme, il a déménagé à New York et a été rapidement choisi pour servir en tant qu'ambassadeur du jazz américain par le biais du Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
Tout en vivant à New York, il s'est imposé comme un batteur incontournable pour de nombreux styles différents - rock, pop, jazz, improvisation, cabaret, danse, et bien d'autres. Pendant cette période, Robby a également fondé le groupe Lazer Cake, dans lequel il assurait les voix, l'écriture de chansons et la batterie - sa musique a été présentée dans la série "Parenthood" de NBC. Panama Harris
Singer, Percussion
Panama Harris is a born and bred New Yorker who hails from the East Village, home of CBGB’s, NuBlu and countless other dark and dirty music venues hidden its basements. Her dad, a foundational member of the New York Niggers, the Toasters, along with the Cooties, developed her love for music at a young age by playing her a whole kaleidoscope of genres, from opera to grunge to pop. This early music “bath” gave her a keen ear for good music, no matter the style.
Apart from solo gigs she’s played both in the United States and in Europe, she has also sung with the New-York based Motown-style band the Commotions.
She currently resides in Paris, France with her extended family of spider plants.

Panama Harris est une New-Yorkaise originaire de l'East Village, quartier abritant le CBGB's, le NuBlu et d'innombrables autres lieux de musique sombres dissimulés dans ses sous-sols. Son père, membre fondateur des New York Niggers, des Toasters, ainsi que des Cooties, a cultivé son amour pour la musique dès son plus jeune âge en lui faisant écouter tout un kaléidoscope de genres, de l'opéra au grunge en passant par la pop. Ce "bain" musical précoce lui a donné une oreille attentive pour la bonne musique, quel que soit le style.
Outre ses performances en solo aux États-Unis et en Europe, elle a également chanté avec le groupe de style Motown basé à New York, les Commotions.
Elle réside actuellement à Paris, en France, avec sa famille de plantes araignées.
Matt Brandau
Bass, Background Vocals
Matt Brandau has been a professional bassist and music producer for 30 years. He specializes in Dance, Soul, Funk, and Pop music.
He grew up in Charlotte North Carolina where he started playing bass in his high school jazz band and local gospel churches. He attended The University of NC at Chapel Hill where he studied Jazz Performance. After university, Matt spent 10 years working in NYC as a performer and producer.
As a performer he was a founding member of famed hip-hop bands Sankofa and The Remix Project. He’s performed with DJ Premier, Pete Rock, Ski Beatz, 9th Wonder, Talib Kweli, The Brazilian Girls, Branford Marsalis, Elvis Costello, Jewel, and Joan Osborne.
As a composer/producer he has written and scored 14 documentaries for National Geographic as well as advertising campaigns for ESPN, Lincoln Motors, Airfrance, The Gap, and the Wall Street Journal.
Matt currently resides in Paris France where he continues to perform and produce music.

Matt Brandau est un bassiste professionnel et producteur musical depuis 30 ans. Il est spécialisé dans la musique Dance, Soul, Funk et Pop.

Il a grandi à Charlotte, en Caroline du Nord, où il a commencé à jouer de la basse dans le groupe de jazz de son lycée et dans des églises locales de gospel. Il a fréquenté l'Université de Caroline du Nord à Chapel Hill, où il a étudié la performance jazz. Après l'université, Matt a passé 10 ans à travailler à New York en tant qu'artiste et producteur.
